Fashion Meets Film at the Leo Awards 2005!

April 5, 2005: Vancouver — Walter Daroshin, LEO AWARDS president, is pleased to announce Fashion+Film , a new addition to the LEO AWARDS  2005. Fashion+Film , a two evening exhibition, will showcase the latest styles by local and international fashion designers.  “Fashion+Film's sense of culture, fashion and design is a great way to add excitement to our two gala evenings and a complement to the the LEO AWARDS celebrations” says Mr. Daroshin.

Produced on behalf of the LEO AWARDS by Celebrity RX, Fashion+Film is expected to attract almost a dozen fashion design houses.  “We are excited to partner with the premier film and television industry event to highlight all the best in fashion and design BC has to offer,” says Michele Thistle, president, Celebrity RX.

Participants in Fashion+Film are also expected to offer their fashion display pieces for silent auction at the LEO AWARDS 2005.

The LEO AWARDS 2005 are presented by BMW Canada. Additional major sponsors include the Northwest Imaging & FX, Shaw TV, Kodak Entertainment Imaging, ACFC West and Channel M.

The LEO AWARDS were established in 1998 to celebrate excellence in British Columbia film and television.  The LEO AWARDS 2005 Celebration and Gala Awards Ceremonies take place May 27 & 28 at the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina.

The LEO AWARDS are a project of the Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia, and produced by Troika Productions Inc. and Events One.
